When I visited Disney last July, I had the opportunity to stay on the club level in the Contemporary resort. My family and boyfriend were all visiting for a full week and weekend, and we really got to embrace the many perks of the exclusive floor.
One of the most incredible and lesser-known perks of any deluxe club level room is that you can buy extra fast passes each day that nobody else has access to. These are the same type of passes that you can book 90 days in advance of your trip, just like the two-per day you already get. These must also get attached to park-hopper passes or an annual pass. We were able to ride all of the big E-ticket rides like Slinky Dog and Flight of Passage multiple times!
The best part about the club level at any resort in Disney is the lounge and all of the snacks and food. Raf, my stepsister Sarah and I can EAT, and we definitely took advantage of the almost constant free food and drinks. Every morning is essentially a full breakfast spread. This includes one or two hot options, all types of breads and pastries, fruit, etc. I always grabbed a chocolate croissant or two even on our way to a breakfast reservation at Ohana..
They had a schedule for this meal, some afternoon snacks and dessert at night. There was a fridge always stocked with soda and some beers, as well as iced tea and water. These really came in handy when you were thirsty for something other than your half luke warm water bottle from your day at Animal Kingdom.
My favorite memory of this experience was when my mom, stepdad and stepsister were downstairs in the Contemporary swimming, and Raf and I slept in. I knew breakfast was still on and we only had tickets to Villains that night, so I tried to wake him up and then gave up and thought I’d just bring him something back. I piled a plate high with croissants, toast, and truly the best deviled eggs I’ve ever had, and looked out of the huge floor to ceiling windows over Magic Kingdom. It might seem silly to others, but for me, I felt like I was in some grand dream of what my ideal home would be. Me, a plate of chocolate and carbs, and Cinderella’s Castle.
